Description PBX Operator - COMMUNICATIONS 1 Department, Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla, WA One Revenue Cycle (ORC) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health & Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and structures in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. ORC's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is delivered along with the enhanced overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by providing a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized revenue cycle expertise. The PBX Operator receives and processes all external, internal and long-distance calls to and from the facility within productivity standards. The PBX Operator must communicate effectively with compassion and sensitivity, anticipating the needs of patients, families, physicians and their office staff, co-workers, supervisors and other hospital staff departments. In addition, will provide superior customer service that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, visitors, physicians and staff. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy. Shift: Part- time, Night shift, 24 hours Required Qualifications: 1 year experience in customer service or health care setting Preferred Qualifications: Some college level course work 6 months Health care clerical, reception, or registration experience Why Join Providence?
