Required qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related area of study; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience

  • 7 years’ work experience in the areas of billings & collections, finance, or business analysis

  • 5 years’ leadership / people management experience

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including team leadership, conflict resolution, listening, and leading meetings with various internal and external leaders

  • Action oriented driver with ability to identify solution opportunities and determine best approach

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality

  • Ability to work under pressure and strict timeframes

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of time for business purposes

Job description:

The Director Billing & Collections is responsible for the overall direction and management of AllianceRx Walgreens Prime’s billing and collections function. This position has primary leadership responsibility for the design, development, implementation and execution of systems, programs and processes driving and supporting the Company’s overall business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops billing and collection policies and procedures

  • Monitors collections, past due accounts and determines policies on written or verbal follow-up

  • Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history and credit line

  • Has full revenue cycle oversight (credit approval, monthly billing and timely collection of cash)

  • Provide leadership in talent planning (staffing planning, talent risk identification, etc.) and talent management (expectation setting, performance reviews, performance feedback, discipline, development goals, business goals, training, etc.) for immediate organization

  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of departmental budget

  • Responsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of operational excellence; engage in the selection and hiring process as needed
