Rubrik Senior Director, GTM Finance in Palo Alto, California

Role Overview:

Rubrik is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Director of GTM (Go-to-Market) Finance to lead our global GTM finance function. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and strategy for our Go-to-Market initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, optimize investments, and ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial Leadership for GTM Initiatives:

  • Lead the development and execution of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for Rubrik's Go-to-Market initiatives, including sales, marketing, and partnerships.

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to GTM leaders to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition.

  • Ensure alignment of GTM financial goals with overall business objectives and corporate strategy.

  • Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives to support Rubrik's GTM objectives, including market segmentation, pricing strategies, and channel optimization.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform GTM strategies and investment decisions.

  • Identify opportunities for revenue optimization, cost efficiency, and margin improvement across GTM functions.

  • Investment Management and ROI Optimization:

  • Evaluate and prioritize investments in GTM initiatives, including sales programs, marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships, to maximize ROI and drive business results.

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of GTM investments, providing insights and recommendations for resource allocation and optimization.

  • Develop financial models and business cases to support investment decisions and measure the impact of GTM initiatives on business outcomes.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with GTM leaders, including Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, as well as finance and other cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment of financial goals with GTM strategies and activities.

  • Serve as a financial advisor and partner to GTM leaders, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive business success.

  • Foster a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across GTM functions and the organization.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals supporting GTM activities, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team culture.

  • Cultivate talent and build expertise within the GTM finance team, driving professional growth and excellence in financial management and analysis.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in finance roles with increasing levels of responsibility, including significant experience in GTM finance or related functions, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.

  • Proven track record of success in financial leadership, strategic planning, and analysis, with a focus on driving business results and revenue growth.

  • Deep understanding of GTM strategies, sales and marketing dynamics, and revenue recognition principles in a global context.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives, GTM leaders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, agility, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Leadership experience, including managing teams and developing talent.

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US Pay Range

$245,000—$341,800 USD
