Position Summary

SJI Energy Enterprises Group (“SJIEE”) is searching for a professional with a breadth of finance experience to support the growth of our renewable energy businesses. This role will oversee a department responsible for financial management, customer billing, and vendor invoicing activities that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. This leader will advise management on expected business performance and influence operational decision-making with financial data.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the technical finance liaison to business leaders and corporate finance departments.

  • Supervise, coach, and prioritize the workflow of FP&A Leads who perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metric analysis.

  • Oversee and optimize cash flow processes including customer billing and vendor management.

  • Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational targets.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports/analysis for management.

  • Keep current with industry and functional trends.

  • Identify and implement scalable business process improvements.

  • Maintain excellent financial controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Background:

  • Experienced financial leader with the ability to anticipate future consequences / trends and incorporate them into the organizational planning.

  • Must be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with financial modeling.

  • Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skills.

  • Highly motivated, takes initiative, and has a desire to drive process improvement.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail.

  • Possess a working knowledge of the renewable energy industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

    Preferred Background:

  • CPA is a plus

Qualifications

Required Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or;

  • Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience

  • In addition, a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is required
