Description

Our client in Jordan, MN is hiring ASAP for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role will start on the contract basis and has the potential to convert to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage invoices and ensure correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices/receipts.

• Liaise with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Prepare and perform check runs, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Maintain vendor files and correspondence with vendors.

• Analyze payment processes and make recommendations for efficiency improvements.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, rules, and regulations.

• Aid in month-end and year-end closure of AP records.

• Handle vendor inquiries regarding invoice issues.

• Prepare and process expense rep

Requirements

Qualifications:

An AP Specialist should generally have a minimum of an associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. In addition, knowledge of basic accounting principles, proficiency with accounting software, and experience in managing spreadsheets and ledgers is required. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are crucial for this role. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are also beneficial.
