Exciting Opportunity for a Project Coordinator

Join our team as a Project Coordinator where you'll play a pivotal role in managing orders from purchase order receipt to the final payment stage. As the primary point of contact for our customers, you'll be instrumental in fostering positive engagement and nurturing long-lasting relationships. Additionally, you'll take charge of coordinating scheduling, documentation, inspection notifications, and shipping logistics for special compressor orders. Your expertise will also extend to managing Letters of Credit across the entire business, ensuring smooth financial transactions.

What will you do?

  • Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries and support where appropriate or route to the correct person.

  • Receive and review new build and aftermarket standard bare shaft compressor orders. Manage inaccuracies such as incorrect prices with the customer.

  • Liaise with operations regarding standard stock and production lead times.

  • Accurately book standard compressor orders on to the Howden Compressors Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software tool.

  • Acknowledge the order to the customer, keep customer informed of forecast delivery.

What do you bring?

To be successful you must have …

  • Experience and knowledge of contracts.

  • Experience and knowledge of managing the Letter of Credit process from PO receipt until cash received.

  • Experience and knowledge of international shipping.

  • Knowledge of accounting processes.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Excellent time management

  • Ability to quickly understand and then drive priorities.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong and collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

  • Competent use of Excel, Word and Outlook
