Description

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant in the Agriculture industry based in Fresno, California. This role will involve managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing specialized accounting software. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage financial transactions and generate reports.

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites to create spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.

• Regularly perform billing functions and manage cash activity.

• Assist with other accounting functions as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficient and accurate accounting processes.

• Resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounting Assistant role or similar position within the Agriculture industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing Functions and Cash Activity management

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
