Robert Half is working with a client to fill a position within an incredible small business. DIRECT HIRE (Not contract)

This is a Tax Manager role located in Folsom, California. This role is instrumental in managing a portfolio of tax clients, overseeing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services, and developing and maintaining strong client relationships. You will also play a part in process development and team mentoring, and potentially assist with forensic accounting cases.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of tax clients, providing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.

• Oversee the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS and State laws.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.

• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations and share updates with clients and team members.

• Mentor team members and provide opportunities for professional development.

• Collaborate with leadership to develop efficient and effective processes.

• If desired, assist with forensic accounting cases and potentially develop into an expert in this area.

• Utilize various accounting systems and software, including ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax.

• Perform various accounting functions, including auditing, compliance, entity formation, and income tax accounting.

• Hold CPA certification

Requirements

• Expertise in Income Tax Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required
