THE POSITION

As the Senior Program Director, you will lead a team of development program professionals to manage large scale Honeywell programs. As a senior member of the Space Leadership Team, you work autonomously to achieve organizational objectives through multiple programs’ execution of scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality while demonstrating mastery of program management skills and broad management expertise across various disciplines and across the Space Leadership Team.

You will be accountable for P&L for your business segment, lead multiple complex, global development programs that may span several major domestic and worldwide locations, requiring coordination of technology development and production across locations. You will manage a staff of Dev PMs and provide program guidance while serving as the primary Honeywell interface to government and Prime customers alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive on time execution

  • Drive long-term strategic planning

  • Understand and manage both budget and schedule

  • Adhere to the Integrated Product Delivery System (IPDS) process; Honeywell’s gated review process

  • Establish Management Operating System

  • Influence and collaborate across function boundaries between Supply Chain (ISC)and Engineering

  • Resolve complex customer issues

  • Establish communications with both internal and external stakeholders at the Senior Executive levels

  • Influence decision at all levels

  • Provide team level guidance and coaching

  • Clarify key issues and actions for timely resolution

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a US Citizen: a person who was born anywhere in the United States or its territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or who obtained U.S. citizenship through naturalization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Business.

  • Minimum 10 years of Project / Program Management or Engineering.

  • Active TS/ SCI Clearance or Similar

  • Has authority, is accountable for program excellence

  • Direct Management of Staff of Development Program Managers

  • Principles and Processes development & improvements

  • Financial performance to AOP and STRAP

  • Expert in Earned Value Management

  • Risk Management -Identification & Mitigation

  • Communication at all levels of org on reporting/reviews

  • Understand and mitigate EAC growth

  • Mentoring/leading PMs, peers or new leaders
