Job Description :

This position entails supporting System Integration and Test (SI&T) engineers and Technical Trainers by supporting integration, test and training activities. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting integration / test operations with setting up and test execution of various electro-mechanical systems. This includes working in a team environment to disassemble and re-assembles subassemblies. During this process you will assists in inspection of optical components for damage. Responsibilities also includes inventorying of all program equipment, maintaining the inventory databases, and ordering of hardware.

In this position, you will partner with engineering teams to define the priorities, complete the assemblies for integration development and test events including post test event activities.

Essential Functions:

• Develops and executes test procedures and test equipment to support the testing of sub-assemblies. Supports product development especially as it relates to product test and design for test. Ensures all development tasks are documented.

• Implements and maintains test procedures, equipment to realize timely and efficient test execution.

• Procure required equipment to support system build and create supporting documentation to include drawing tree, parts list, and interconnect diagrams.

• Identify, document, track and evaluate test problem reports and test anomalies.

• System integration and testing and sub-system factory functional testing of hardware and software components.

• Continuously monitors test processes and yields to drive process development and improvement. Implements metrics and tracking systems to support process and yield monitoring and improvement.

• As an AS9100/ISO Certified Company, it is important to follow internal process to ensure conformance to established policies/procedures and support our quality system by assisting in the development of AS9100/ISO compliant documentation.

• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

• Should have good attention to detail, highly interactive, willing to work in team environment.

• Should be willing to learn new skills and work in a challenging/stressful lab environment.

  Qualifications :

• Requires Active TS/SCI with Poly

• Requires proficient knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  Preferred Additional Skills:

• Understanding of basic shop math such as ratios, graphs, algebra, and basic geometry

• Military trainer certifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Dreamweaver

• Maritime field-testing experience.

• Must be able to move and facilitate test racks and test equipment to support test set-ups in a variety of work environments.

• Experience with handling of ESD sensitive components.

• Experience with electrical and fiber cable handling.

• Familiarity with data acquisition monitoring and controls

• Experience with oscilloscopes and other electrical precision measuring equipment.
